Why switch

BankGuard vs Chrome Safety Check

Chrome's built-in Safety Check reacts after Google flags a malicious extension. BankGuard runs scoped detection on 50+ banking sites in real time so a rogue extension cannot read your transfer page before Google's catch-up.

Common questions

Which banks does BankGuard cover?
Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, PayPal, Venmo, Coinbase, Robinhood, Fidelity, Vanguard, plus 40+ more US and EU institutions. The full list ships in the extension's domain registry, no remote update required to add coverage.
Does Safe Mode lock my password manager out?
No. Safe Mode disables only general-purpose extensions on the banking tab. Common password managers (1Password, Bitwarden, KeePass) are kept on a trust allowlist so login still works.
Why a separate tool from Extension Guardian?
Extension Guardian audits every installed extension. BankGuard is scoped to banking sites and acts in real time when one of those sites is open. Two different jobs — one is "review your installs," the other is "lock down right now."
How does the Aegis Pro Pack unlock BankGuard?
Sign in to aegisfirma.com from any installed Aegis extension popup. The cookie-auth flow detects your active Pro Pack and unlocks Pro features instantly — no license key to copy or paste.
Where is my BankGuard data stored?
BankGuard stores everything in chrome.storage on your device. Your subscription record lives in our payment provider's account; we do not aggregate browsing or activity data.
Can I cancel BankGuard Pro anytime?
Yes — billing stops at the end of the current period. Pro features remain active until the period ends, then drop back to the free tier.
Why should I trust an extension I just heard of?
Aegis extensions never change ownership and never sell user data. We publish security audit results and ship MV3-native code so Chrome itself enforces the permissions we claim.
