It penalizes the wrongful dissemination of materially deceptive digitized media depicting a candidate (an individual seeking federal, statewide, state-district, legislative, judicial, county, county-district, or municipal office), and provides for injunctive relief. Any person or business distributing AI-generated/altered media of a Mississippi candidate must ensure compliance (e.g., applicable disclosure and the pre-election timing rules).
