Common questions

Why did the old clipboard managers stop working?

MV3 blocks clipboard access from service workers. ClipVault uses a content-script copy-event listener and a popup-context paste path, both of which MV3 still allows. That is why ClipVault works where the old MV2 tools no longer can.

Where are clips stored?

In chrome.storage on your device. Pro adds an encrypted vault with a passphrase you control — neither we nor anyone else can read encrypted clips without the passphrase.

What does "domain attribution" actually do?

Every clip records the URL of the page you copied from. When the popup lists past clips, you see the source site next to each one — useful when you copy similar text from different sites and need to find the right one quickly.

How does the Aegis Pro Pack unlock ClipVault?

Sign in to aegisfirma.com from any installed Aegis extension popup. The cookie-auth flow detects your active Pro Pack and unlocks Pro features instantly — no license key to copy or paste.

Where is my ClipVault data stored?

ClipVault stores everything in chrome.storage on your device. Your subscription record lives in our payment provider's account; we do not aggregate browsing or activity data.

Can I cancel ClipVault Pro anytime?

Yes — billing stops at the end of the current period. Pro features remain active until the period ends, then drop back to the free tier.
